Jeff Pearson, a Clemson alumnus and sponsor of the Catalyst Competition organized by the College of Science of Clemson University, served as a judge for the competition. Clemson University junior genetics major Jack Carson won $2,500 after his product, geneTunes, took first place in the College of Science’s inaugural Catalyst Competition. This entrepreneurial challenge culminated on March 16 when student teams pitched their innovative ideas to a panel of judges in the Watt Family Innovation Center.
