Washington, DC – September 2, 2014 – The leading minority-owned Intellectual Property & Litigation law firm Mei & Mark LLP today announces that Jeff Pearson, a registered patent attorney and experienced trial attorney, has joined Mei & Mark LLP as a member of its Boca Raton, Florida office. Mr. Pearson will focus his practice on patent litigation and complex commercial litigation. “We are very pleased that Jeff is joining our team. Mr. Pearson began his law practice in the U.S. Navy, providing legal advice to thousands of clients on both civil and criminal matters. He has tried cases both as a prosecutor and a defense counsel. After several years of litigating cases, he served as a lead counsel to military commanders overseas, advising on all matters with a majority of his practice dedicated to international law. Mr. Pearson has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Italy.
Before joining Mei & Mark LLP, Mr. Pearson taught law at the Naval Justice School in Newport, RI, where he trained attorneys on trial advocacy, criminal procedure, and the rules of evidence.
Prior to serving in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Pearson concentrated primarily on patent prosecution and litigation. He worked as a law clerk and patent agent at IP firms—Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP in Washington, DC and Dority & Manning, P.A. in Greenville, SC before receiving his juris doctor from George Washington University.
