Washington, DC – December 22, 2017: Happy Holidays from Mei & Mark LLP
Dear Clients, Colleagues, and Friends:
Happy Holidays from all of us at Mei & Mark LLP! As a premier IP, business, and litigation boutique firm based in Washington, DC, we proudly share with you some of our highlights from 2017:
Trial Practice: We successfully represented clients in patent lawsuits in the federal district courts, Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission (“ITC”), and post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, with over $100M at stake. Four of our patent cases went to trial in federal district courts and the ITC in 2017, including two trials during the same week by two separate Mei & Mark trial teams.
Federal Appellate Practice: Our talented appellate attorneys had another busy year representing clients before the Federal Circuit, Fourth Circuit, Ninth Circuit, and D.C. Circuit.
Patent Prosecution & Opinion Work: We are grateful that our clients continue to entrust us with their cutting-edge technologies for prosecution and opinion work. We also upgraded our patent prosecution management infrastructure to help clients manage their cases more efficiently.
Trademark: Our trademark practice continues to grow to meet our clients’ increased demand.
Business Law Practice: Mei & Mark successfully completed four U.S. Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) for Chinese companies as underwriters’ counsel in 2017, ranked no. 1 in this category (along with a Vault 10 law firm). Overall, Mei & Mark helped clients raise over $150M.
Diversity: As a leading minority-owned law firm, we take pride in the diverse backgrounds and experience showcased by our team of professionals as well as their community involvement. In 2017, we sponsored the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (“NAPABA”) Convention, the Annual Awards and Installation Gala of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Washington, D.C. (“APABA-DC”), and the Equal Justice Awards Reception of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (“HBA-DC”).
We thank you for your support in 2017 and look forward to working with you in 2018. May the New Year bring you happiness and prosperity!
