ITC Section 337 Investigations: We represented five U.S. clients and two Chinese clients in four Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission (“ITC”) in 2016 and obtained favorable results in all completed investigations. As one of the few boutique firms with a top-notch Section 337 practice, our team of experienced ITC litigators includes a former attorney advisor at the ITC’s Office of General Counsel and a former attorney advisor to the ITC’s Chief Administrative Law Judge.
Federal District Court Practice: Our attorneys have also had a busy and successful year litigating cases in federal courts across the U.S., including in California, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Federal Appellate Practice: Our appellate team consists of talented attorneys with a rare combination of substantial legal and technical experience and top academic credentials. In 2016, we represented clients in over ten appeals before the Federal Circuit. We also argued a case involving a complex commercial dispute before the Ninth Circuit.
USPTO Post-Grant Proceedings: We continue to expand our inter partes review (“IPR”) practice by representing both patent owners and petitioners in IPR and other post-grant proceedings.
Patent Prosecution: In 2016, we solidified our reputation as the go-to law firm for many of our large clients.
Business Law Practice: In addition to our traditional IPO practice, in 2016 we expanded our corporate practice to advising clients in an increased number of M&A deals.
Diversity: As a leading minority-owned law firm, we take pride in the diverse backgrounds and experience showcased by our team of professionals as well as their community involvement. In 2016, we sponsored the Annual Awards and Installation Gala of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Washington, D.C. (“APABA-DC”), the Equal Justice Awards Reception of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (“HBA-DC”), and the 20th Annual American Courage Awards hosted by Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC.
