Arlington Immigration Court Granted Asylum to Mei & Mark Pro Bono Client

Washington, DC – June 9, 2011 – Mei & Mark LLP, the leading minority-owned Intellectual Property & Litigation law firm, is pleased to announce that the Arlington Immigration Court granted Mei & Mark pro bono client F. A.’s asylum application at an immigration hearing after over two and a half years in removal proceedings. Mei & Mark LLP attorneys Lei Mei and Jiwei Zhang worked with F.A., a refugee from Cameroon, after the USCIS initially rejected F.A.’s asylum application and placed him in removal proceedings. This win involved great teamwork between Mei & Mark LLP, Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, Advocates for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (ASTT), and other public interest organizations and personnel.
